Brad Brooks holds a BS degree in
Financial Management from Clemson University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from the
University of South Carolina. His Ph.D. major is in Marketing with a
distinct emphasis on customer buying behavior.
Brad is an Associate Professor of
Marketing at the McColl School of Business at Queens College in Charlotte,
North Carolina. He previously worked in sales and sales management with
First Investors Corporation. His research interests lie in studying
customer behaviors and in how to use customer markets in developing
marketing strategies.
Consistent with his research interests,
Brad stays active in consulting with a variety of organizations including
large firms such as Bank of America, but also entrepreneurial start-up
organizations as well as some non-profits. As an example of the consulting
work that Brad has provided for start up organizations, he performed
marketing research and planning services for Un-Du, a new type of adhesive
remover that was later bought by the Dumars organization and was named the
1996 national new product of the year.
Brad also takes part in other
professional activities. As a consumer specialist, he appears regularly on
WBTV news, a local network news program, where he is currently presenting a
series of media segments explaining how marketers and consumers approach
various product choices.
