Tim Burson earned a Ph.D. in economics
from the University of South Carolina, an M.B.A. from the University of
North Carolina at Charlotte, and a B.S. from Shippensburg University. Since
joining the faculty in 1991, he has received a number of teaching awards,
including the Queens University of Charlotte Teacher of the Year Award. He
was twice named a Sam Walton Fellow for his involvement with Students in
Free Enterprise. Dr. Burson's research focuses on economics and finance.
He has consulted for firms in the health care, construction, and sports
industries. He is currently working with the Regent Carolina Corporation on
the undergraduate program in Professional Golf Management to Queens
University of Charlotte.
