Eileen M. Friars
Eileen M. Friars is a business
advisor and private investor. She is the former President of Bank of
America Credit Card Services, leading Bank of America in becoming the 5th
largest credit card portfolio in the US, with over $20 billion in assets.
Prior to her assignments with Bank of America, Ms. Friars was President of
NationsBank Card Services, Senior Executive Vice President of C&S/Sovran
Corporation, and Senior Vice President of The MAC Group, a strategy and
general management consulting firm. Ms. Friars earned her BA in economics
and government from Simmons College in Boston in 1972, and her MBA at
Harvard Business School in 1974.
In December of 1998, Ms. Friars
was recognized by Working Woman Magazine as one of the thirty women who
could be CEO of a major company. Active in a variety of business and
community organizations, Ms. Friars is a member of the Simmons College Board
where she chairs the Finance Committee and on the Harvard Business School’s
Visiting Committee. Ms. Friars currently serves as Board Member and
Education Chair of the Committee of 200.
