Ernest F. Schaub is
president and chief executive officer of EnPro Industries (NYSE: NPO), an
$800 million provider of products to industrial and processing industries
worldwide. He has been in that position since the company was formed in
2001.
Prior to assuming his
current position, Schaub was executive vice president of Goodrich
Corporation, and president and chief operating officer of its Engineered
Industrial Products segment. He joined Goodrich in 1971 and spent most of
his early career with the company’s industrial and aerospace operations in a
variety of manufacturing positions of increasing responsibility. In 1983,
he moved into general management of the company’s aircraft wheels and brakes
business. He became a group vice president for the company’s Aerospace
segment in 1986 and a corporate vice president in 1994.
Schaub received a bachelor
of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of New
Haven, CT, and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member
of the Board of Trustees for Manufacturers’ Alliance/MAPI and Charlotte’s
Discovery Place, and a member of the Board of Advisors for Queens
University.
He and his wife Sandie have
two sons and two grandchildren.
