CHARLOTTE, N.C. (November 1, 2007) — Queens
University of Charlotte has appointed Ron Veith the new
associate executive master’s in business administration
(EMBA) director of the McColl School of Business. Veith
will join the McColl team in November as the associate
director and will transition into his new role in
January 2008, replacing Bill Berry who has been involved
in the EMBA program at Queens since its inception in
1989."We are very excited to have someone with Ron's
business and academic experience joining us to lead our
executive MBA program,” said Terry Broderick, dean of
the McColl School of Business at Queens. “Ron will be a
great fit with a faculty and staff fully dedicated to
continuing to build the quality and reputation of the
McColl School of Business. He will be succeeding Dr.
Bill Berry, who built and nurtured this truly unique and
highly innovative program."
Veith received his undergraduate degree in industrial
engineering from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Notre
Dame. He spent more than 20 years with Accenture
(formerly Anderson Consulting), retiring as a partner in
2002. Before joining Accenture, Veith served as a
consultant for many large companies such as Bell South,
Sara Lee, Michelin and more.
Upon leaving Accenture, Veith joined academia,
working with the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte and Johnson & Wales University as an assistant
professor. Most recently he served as the MBA director
for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Belk
School of Business.
Veith served on the Board of Directors for the
Charlotte Arts and Science Council from 1998-2001. In
addition, he has served on the advisory board for the
School of Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech and the
regional board for a Campaign for Georgia Tech.
The McColl School of Business at Queens University of
Charlotte is accredited by AACSB International and ACBSP.
The McColl School offers two MBA programs for working
professionals and has been serving the regional business
community for more than 25 years.
