CHARLOTTE, N.C. (November 1, 2007)
 — Queens University of Charlotte has appointed Ron Veith the new associate executive master’s in business administration (EMBA) director of the McColl School of Business. Veith will join the McColl team in November as the associate director and will transition into his new role in January 2008, replacing Bill Berry who has been involved in the EMBA program at Queens since its inception in 1989.

"We are very excited to have someone with Ron's business and academic experience joining us to lead our executive MBA program,” said Terry Broderick, dean of the McColl School of Business at Queens. “Ron will be a great fit with a faculty and staff fully dedicated to continuing to build the quality and reputation of the McColl School of Business. He will be succeeding Dr. Bill Berry, who built and nurtured this truly unique and highly innovative program."

Veith received his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Notre Dame. He spent more than 20 years with Accenture (formerly Anderson Consulting), retiring as a partner in 2002. Before joining Accenture, Veith served as a consultant for many large companies such as Bell South, Sara Lee, Michelin and more.

Upon leaving Accenture, Veith joined academia, working with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Johnson & Wales University as an assistant professor. Most recently he served as the MBA director for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Belk School of Business.

Veith served on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Arts and Science Council from 1998-2001. In addition, he has served on the advisory board for the School of Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech and the regional board for a Campaign for Georgia Tech.

The McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte is accredited by AACSB International and ACBSP. The McColl School offers two MBA programs for working professionals and has been serving the regional business community for more than 25 years.
