Baxter to
serve as assistant director for McColl School alumni
& development

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 25, 2007) —Elizabeth
Baxter has joined Queens University of Charlotte as
an assistant director for McColl School alumni and
development. In her new role, Baxter will be
responsible for implementing strategies to increase
engagement and annual giving for the McColl School
of Business among alumni, friends and
corporate/foundation sources.
“We are most excited that Elizabeth has joined
our team. Her background coupled with her energy and
enthusiasm will result in wonderful things for
Queens and specifically the McColl School,” said
Todd Hartung, associate vice president for alumni
programs and annual giving.
Prior to joining Queens, Baxter served as a
ministry associate for the University of
Mississippi, assisting the campus minister with all
trip coordination, general fundraising needs and
administrative tasks. She successfully raised more
than $60,000 through personal fundraising and donor
events to fund her role on the University’s campus.
Prior to this position, she was a communications
intern for Senator Elizabeth Dole’s office and an
operations intern for the Bush/Cheney 2004
Presidential Campaign.
Baxter obtained a bachelor’s degree in English
from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., where she
was a John M. Belk Scholarship recipient. She is a
past mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and has
extensive experience in local theatre, serving as a
program intern for the Royal Shakespeare Company
Residency and a stage manager for the Davidson
College Theater Department.
Queens University of Charlotte is a private,
co-ed, Presbyterian-affiliated comprehensive
university, with a commitment to both liberal arts
and professional studies. Located in the heart of
historic Charlotte, Queens serves approximately
2,200 undergraduate and graduate students through
its College of Arts and Sciences, the McColl School
of Business, The Pauline Lewis Hayworth College and
the Presbyterian School of Nursing.
