Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD)

The McColl Master of Science in Organization Development develops skilled change agents who are dedicated to improving personal and organizational performance through the utilization of behavioral science interventions in planned change efforts.  The MSOD is a 36-credit hour program designed for working professional who are interested in designing and leading organizational change.

 

The McColl MSOD curriculum is particularly unique because it includes an emphasis on coaching and leadership development. Students have the opportunity to graduate with an MS in Organization Development and a Certificate in Coaching. 

 

Although the program will be appropriate for a wide and diverse range of professionals, the program will especially benefit the following:

    - Internal and External OD Consultants

    - Human Resource Managers and Generalists

    - Training and Development Managers

    - Internal and External Executive Coaches

    - Organizational Effectiveness Managers

    - Facilitators, Trainers and Coaches

 

The MSOD program curriculum is designed for the needs of working professionals and provides a flexible part-time, evening schedule.  Students can finish in as little as two years, or spread their coursework across multiple semesters to accommodate personal schedules and needs.

Most classes meet one evening per week from 6-8:45pm, Monday through Thursday.  You may begin the program in the fall or spring term. 

 

In order to be considered for admission as a degree candidate to the MSOD program, an applicant must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and have five years of professional work experience.

2.5  - 4 years (dependent upon number of credit hours completed each term)

Weekday evenings (6:00 - 8:45 p.m.); some Saturdays

Format

Flexible program allows students to finish in two to four years.  Most courses meet one evening per week from 6:00 - 8:45 p.m.

Emphasis

- Coaching certification program offered (additional 3 - 15 credit hours). (The McColl School is an ICF Accredited Institution)

Leadership Development

Leadership development is the cornerstone of the McColl School experience.  The leadership program is designed to facilitate the development of your personal leadership philosophy, style and demonstrated effectiveness by including access to national and community leaders through the Leaders In Action Lecture Series and our Executives In Residence program.  Students also explore their leadership
philosophy through individualized professional coaching and a community

Accessible, Qualified Faculty

Intimate Learning Environment
